About these terms
These terms apply when you use chrysalis.education and when you enquire about or use our services, including EDU Concierge, Spark and Dexter. They are set by Chrysalis Education, a company registered in the United Kingdom (company number Company number to be added, registered office Registered office address to be added), owned by PowerCourses LLC, United States.
By using this website you agree to these terms. If you sign up for a service, the specific plan details we confirm to you — and, for Dexter, the licence agreement — apply alongside them. If anything conflicts, the confirmed plan details or licence agreement take priority.
Showing interest is not a booking
Sending us your details shows interest. It does not book a place, reserve a price, or commit either of us to anything.
When you submit a form on this website, message us on WhatsApp, request a consultation or demo, make an admissions enquiry, or join a waiting list for something marked “coming soon”:
- no contract is created between you and Chrysalis;
- no place, plan, price, tutor or start date is reserved or guaranteed;
- we are not obliged to provide any service, and we may be unable to offer one — for example because of availability, location, age, curriculum or capacity; and
- you are not obliged to buy anything.
Messages on screen such as “Thank you” or “Request received” confirm only that we have your enquiry.
A contract is formed only when we confirm in writing — by email or through your account — the service, plan, price and start date, and you accept it, including by making any payment due. Until then, everything we discuss is an indication only.
Using our website
The website gives general information about Chrysalis and our services. We work to keep it accurate, but content may be updated, and it is not a substitute for professional advice about your child’s individual needs.
Prices, plans, start dates and availability shown on the site may change. The price that applies to you is the one we confirm in writing when your service begins. Services marked “coming soon” are not yet available to buy.
Please do not misuse the site — for example by trying to gain unauthorised access, interfering with how it works, sending harmful code, or copying content at scale by automated means.
Who can sign up
Services for children must be arranged by a parent or legal guardian aged 18 or over, or by a school or organisation authorised to act for the student. You are responsible for making sure the information you give us is accurate and kept up to date, and for supervising your child’s use of our services as appropriate to their age.
Fees, payment and renewal
- Fees are as confirmed to you in writing when your service begins, in the currency stated.
- Monthly memberships, such as EDU Concierge plans, renew automatically each month until cancelled. We will tell you in advance before any change to your fee takes effect, and you may cancel before it does.
- Nothing is charged until you have confirmed a plan.
- If a payment fails, we may pause the service until it is resolved.
Cancellation and refunds
14-day guarantee. If you are not satisfied, you can cancel an EDU Concierge membership within 14 days of your first payment and receive a full refund.
After the first 14 days, you can cancel at any time and the membership will end at the close of the current billing month; fees already paid for that month are not refunded unless we have failed to provide the service.
Spark courses and Dexter licences have their own cancellation terms, which we confirm before you buy.
Nothing in these terms affects any rights you have under consumer protection law in your country.
What our services do — and don’t — promise
We provide education, guidance and support with skill and care. Every child is different, however, and results depend on many things outside our control. We do not guarantee particular grades, exam results, school or university admissions, or other outcomes.
We may change the team members, tutors or tools we use to deliver a service, provided the service you receive stays substantially the same.
Safeguarding and conduct
Children’s safety comes first. We expect respectful behaviour from everyone in our lessons and communications, and we may record, monitor or end sessions where needed to protect students. We may suspend or end a service if a student, parent or user behaves in a way that is abusive, unsafe or unlawful, or seriously breaks these terms. We will act on any safeguarding concern in line with our safeguarding procedures and the law.
Our content
The website, our learning materials, platforms and branding — including the Chrysalis, EDU Concierge, Spark and Dexter names — belong to us or our licensors. You may use materials we provide for your own or your child’s personal learning. Please do not copy, sell, share publicly or reuse them commercially without our written permission.
Other services and links
Our website links to, and we may communicate through, services run by others — such as WhatsApp, email providers and video platforms. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, or, where you use our services for business purposes, for loss of profit, business or opportunity.
Where you are a business customer, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
Your privacy
How we collect, use and protect personal information — including how we keep contact numbers confidential — is explained in our Privacy policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page applies to your use of the website. If we change terms that affect an active service, we will tell you in advance; if you do not agree, you may cancel before the change takes effect.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts. Please contact us first — most concerns can be resolved quickly and informally.
